Safety Programs

We are committed to a strong safety program that protects its staff, property, and the public from accidents and exposure.
All aspects are included in the Ripa Safety Manual.

Employees at every level, including the Management Team, are responsible and accountable for the Company’s overall safety initiatives. The Management Team supports coordination of safety among all workers in the shop. We except and support active participation in the safety program by all employees and provides proper equipment, training, and procedures.  Employees are responsible for following processes in a safe manner, and whenever possible assisting with improving safety measures. An injury and accident-free workplace is our goal – getting our employees home to their families is our number one priority. 


We are an active member of Complyworks and have a rating of a Low Risk Client.


Ripa Industries Ltd. is registered with the Alberta boilers Safety Association (ABSA) under AQP# 1651, and ASME # 60720, for the following manufacturing activities in accordance with the ASME code and Alberta Safety Acts Codes and Regulations, ASME SECTION VIII, DIVISION 1 PRESSURE VESSELS:

1. Construction of miniature pressure vessels
2. Construction of CAT. A & H pressure fittings
3. Repair and alteration of existing pressure vessels
4. Construction, repair and alteration of pressure piping to ASME B31.1 power piping & boiler external piping
5. B31.3 process piping, including indirect fired heater coils to B31.3

ABSA Certified

Ripa Industries Ltd. has a rigorous Quality Control Program registered through the Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA) for the construction, repair and alteration of Pressure Piping Systems in accordance with ASME B31.1 Power Piping and ASME B31.3 Process Piping and the Alberta Safety Codes Act and Regulations for Ripa Industries Ltd.

CWB Certified

Ripa Industries Ltd. is certified to CSA Standard W47.1. “Certification of Companies for Fusion Welding of Steel Structures” in Division 2.1. CSA W47.1 Certification requires that the company has the organization, personnel, welding procedures, welding standards, and equipment in place to produce satisfactory welds and we exceed minimum standards.

Ripa Industries Ltd welding procedures are registered with Alberta Boilers Safety Association and ASME (WP-) 2343.2
